GloFX is proud to have been named a winner of the Florida Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Award! This award was sponsored by the Florida Sterling Council and FloridaMakes, both of which are Florida based non-profit corporations. GloFX and 6 other high performing manufacturers were chosen as the winners on June 2nd at the 2017 Governor’s Sterling Awards Banquet in Orlando, Florida.
Of the 120 companies nominated throughout the State of Florida, GloFX was one of only 4 manufacturing businesses in its class to make it to the finalist round. Taking home first place for the “Under 40 Employees” category, they are the only Tallahassee-based company to receive the honor this year.

GloFX is humbled to have been selected for such a prestigious honor, and the success is a direct result of the dedication of the entire GloFX team, as well as our loyal customers. We are so proud to share this award with the Tallahassee community. All candidates underwent an exhaustive application process that included a facility visit and interviews with company leadership. Along with the other contenders, we were graded by the judging panel on these six criteria:
- Leadership
- Strategic planning
- Customer and market focus
- Measurement
- Analysis and knowledge management
- Workforce and operations.
The Florida Sterling Council was founded in 1992 and is supported by the Executive Office of the Governor. Their trained examiners are knowledgeable of all the ins and outs of manufacturing and donated their time to evaluate all the nominees.
FloridaMakes is a partnership that was established in 2015 in order to improve upon the productivity and technological performance of Florida manufacturers. They also help to better the state’s manufacturing sector by assisting over 20,000 manufacturers in today’s marketplace. In upcoming plant tours, webinars, and events, FloridaMakes will aid in sharing their industry – related insight and best practices to all contestants.
